Abteilung 502 - Light mud

A staple in the weathering process, this color adds a high level of realism to the underbody of dirty vehicles when applied subtly and with precision. It is especially effective for enhancing depth and natural wear on vehicle surfaces exposed to dirt and grime.

This is a specialized color designed specifically for creating realistic mud accumulation effects, making it ideal for depicting built-up dirt on military vehicles, trucks, and other heavily weathered subjects.

It can be mixed with plaster and combined with other colors, such as AKABT130 Dark Mud, to achieve a wide range of natural tones. It can also be used together with clearcoats to reproduce convincing wet or dry mud effects, depending on the desired finish.

Lighter mud tones are commonly applied over darker base colors, particularly in splashes or along the side areas of parts hit by debris, to accurately simulate dried mud and layered dirt effects.
